Pakistan Machine Tool Factory (PMTF) is the leading manufacturer of quality precision engineering goods in Pakistan. PMTF was established in 1968 under the technical collaboration with Messers Oerlikon Buhrle & Co of Switzerland which is the world’s renowned manufacturer of engineering products. It was incorporated as a private limited company in 1975 under the Companies Act. The company came into regular production in 1971, started with the production of machine tools being the core requirement for providing the technological base to the country, and gradually the production of Hi-Tech equipment was also inducted into the production line of this engineering organization. PMTF is spread over an area of 226 acres, including 57 acres of employee residential colony. Presently, around 800 employees are working with this organization including professional Engineers and technical workers. The Company layout is set by Swiss engineers and is according to the best European standards. Presently, PMTF is engaged in the production of noted Hi-Tech products:

Machine Tools (Conventional & CNC type) including Lathes, Milling, Drillings, Hack Saw, CNC Turning and Milling Center, quarrying machinery, etc.
Automotive transmission and Axle parts (Gears, Pinions, shafts, etc.) for Tractors, Buses, Locomotives, and others.
Pressure Die-cast parts for Gas Meters, Motorcycles, and many more.

PMTF has rich experience in designing and manufacturing precision engineering goods. It has its training institute where training facilities is being provided to engineering industries for tailor-made short courses, and technical training to support them in meeting their requirement. Also, Apprenticeship training is provided to the fresh student on regular basis to provide technical manpower to the country. PMTF-installed facilities include CNC VMC, CNC machining centers, CNC Turning Centers, turning machines, Gear manufacturing machines, well-equipped tool rooms with facilities like Jig boring, thread grinding, spark erosion, die sinking and copy milling machines, etc. Heat treatment shops in particular for automotive transmission and machine tool production, are compatible with international standards. Surface treatment facilities, pressure die casting facilities, sheet metal facilities, design center equipped with Computer Aided Designing and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) facilities, CNC shops, electronic lab, and facility for metallurgical & chemical laboratories. PMTF has kept on enhancing/modernizing its facilities by adding the latest machinery/equipment. PMTF is an ISO-9001:2015 certified quality standard organization and has a built-in excellent quality culture. PMTF has test labs facilities including Gear testing labs, electronic labs, material testing labs, and metrology Labs with CMM facilities where all production gauges in operation are being regularly checked and controlled to ensure the quality culture, to ensure PMTF’s existing International / European quality standards.
